I have just checked in for the first flight. My bike box weigh to much but transferring a lot of stuff to my hand luggage and rearranging everything meant I got it down to 30.9 kgs and didn’t have to pay anything extra, just means that I am now wearing loads of clothes and feeling pretty warm!
Well now it is just a waiting game until I can board my flight.
I went on the second to last test ride. So far I have ridden 221kms which is probable not far enough! I have to sort out the packing and various other admin mainly related to banks insurance etc. Not long left now. Best get back to the packing and admin.
I went on the fourth test ride last night all seems to be working well including the gears thanks to Dad for being a big help sorting them out.
It was a lovely sunny evening with a flat road and the wind behind me, and no luggage.
One week today until I fly.
I went on a second test ride today. Well I suppose it was really. a third one. The bike seems to be working well, which I am happy about, the only small problem seems to be the front mech and shifting into the biggest chain ring this might be to do with the chainline but I don’t know! Hopefully I will get it fixed before I go!
I went on my first test ride at the weekend. All seemed to be working well apart from some problems with the front mech. I think I should be able to sort this out though, I don’t think that it is mounted on the frame low enough.
The bike rode very nicely and smoothly. I had it loaded with the four panniers and it did feel pretty heavy, mainly into the wind and up hills but it didn’t feel ungamely if there is such a word!
